What we collect
When you use Slim, we collect the information needed to run the platform on your behalf: • Your business details — name, industry, location, services, and owner information you provide during setup • Customer contact lists you upload or connect — names, email addresses, and phone numbers • Call recordings and transcripts from voice conversations between you and Slim • Google Business Profile data — your reviews, business details, and location information • Conversation history between you and Slim, including approved tasks and results • Basic usage data — which features you use and when — to improve the platform
How we use your data
Everything we collect is used for one purpose: powering automated business communication on your behalf. Specifically, we use your data to send SMS messages and emails to your customers, monitor and respond to your Google reviews, generate personalised outreach in your voice, and help Slim understand your business better over time. We never use your data to power another client's business. Your business context stays yours.
SMS messaging
When Slim sends text messages to your customers, those customers have consented by calling or texting your business number. Every SMS Slim sends includes opt-out instructions. Anyone who replies STOP is removed permanently and immediately — we never contact that number again. Slim is registered under A2P 10DLC, the industry standard for business text messaging. If you receive a Slim text and want to stop, reply STOP to any message. That's it.
Every email Slim sends on your behalf includes an unsubscribe link. One click is all it takes — no login required, no confirmation form. Unsubscribes are processed immediately and permanently. We include a physical mailing address in every email footer as required by CAN-SPAM law.
We do not sell your data
We do not sell, rent, or share your data or your customers' data with any third party for their own purposes. Period. The only exceptions are service providers who help us run the platform — Twilio for SMS and voice calls, SendGrid for email delivery, Google for Business Profile access. These providers process data only as we instruct them to, and only to operate the service.
Your credentials and secrets
Any login credentials, API keys, or access tokens you share with Slim are encrypted immediately and stored in AWS Secrets Manager. They are never stored in plain text and are never accessible without your explicit authorization. Every credential access is logged.
Data retention and deletion
Your data is retained as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we hold your data for 30 days so you can export it — then it's permanently deleted. Customer opt-outs (STOP requests and email unsubscribes) are retained indefinitely to make sure we never contact those people again.
Your rights
You can request a full export of all data associated with your account at any time. You can request permanent deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Both requests are handled within 5 business days. To make either request, email us at support@callslim.com.
